Hey, according to an article in The Age, scientists are now proposing that high consumption of sugary drinks "don’t just go hand-in-hand with obesity, but actually cause it". Wow! The traditional view is that it’s more the lack of exercise and poor eating habits that causes obesity; but now they’re actually saying that it’s due to our drinking habits! At work I usually drink plain water all day (yes, no tea or coffee) but as of late, I’ve been having a takeaway coffee in the morning and, if I’m really stressed, I’ll indulge in a can of Coke Zero. At dinner too I might have a soft drink or two or three. :D Doh, looks like I better call the quit line for sugary drinks…So here’s my prediction for the Coke of the future! Carbonated savoury drinks… yes. Just imagine… Mm… fizzy tomato, or bacon-cola, or schweppervescent chicken soda… *runs to the patent office*Don’t say I didn’t tell you…
