Congrats Australia, we’ve now claimed the title of the most obese nation per capita, with 26% of adult Australians - almost four million - classified as obese. The health statistics are pretty shocking, citing “700,000 heart-related hospital admissions in the next 20 years due to obesity alone, and almost 125,000 people will die as a result, many prematurely”, according to a federal government inquiry into obesity.
